It wasn&#8217;t until 2008 that the sixth category, titled \u201cActions to Address Climate Change,\u201d was established. This category aims to promote actions in public and private entities to implement measures across eight specific parameters: fossil fuels, water, wastewater treatment, energy, waste management, refrigerant gases, sustainable procurement, and climate change adaptation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Blue Flag Ecological Program is an award granted annually to recognize the effort and voluntary work in favor of conservation and sustainable development.
